Juan Borona began his dance career in Madrid with the Victor Ullate Ballet Company and the Carmen Roche Dance Co. A resident of New York, he choreographs and teaches all over the US, Spain, Mexico and Italy.
Mr. Borona has been working with different kinds of artists to create highly visual theater productions. This was where he came up with the idea to create Borona Arts Entertainment: www.BoronaArts.com 

Favorite collaborations include TraumNovela, a dance musical with director Cris Buchner and fashion designer Zaldy. TraumNovela had successful runs in Dallas (Hub Theater), New York (Barrow St.Theater) and Barcelona, Spain.
Juan's visionary ideas have also been a part of worldwide projects like the last Michael Jackson tour: This Is It.

Mr. Borona has directed and choreographed over more than 50 theatrical productions.  Off-Broadway works include; TraumNovela, Female Heart, The Territory, Girliemagic. Regional theater shows such as A Chorus Line, Cabaret, Kiss of the Spider Woman, Dreamgirls, Company, Mamma Mia, Chicago. He has also directed and produced short films, fundraisers for the American Cancer Association, The Children’s Hospital Dance for a Difference Benefit and special events in remarkable locations such as The Manhattan Center -NY, The Rainbow Room (Rockefeller Center)-NY, City Center-NY, Cipriani-NY, Caesar’s Palace and Paris Casinos-Las Vegas, The Parker Arts Cultural Events Center-Denver among many others.

He also teaches and choreographs for competitive dance studios across the US setting up Award Winning Choreography in multiple dance styles (ballet, jazz, contemporary and musical theater). 
He is also a guest choreographer for several dance studios in New York, Denver and Delaware.


Juan Borona was also honored on June 23rd, 2011 by the Historic House Trust of  NYC with the inclusion of a video of his dance piece POE: Last Days in a time capsule sealed into the walls of the Edgar Allan Poe Cottage.
